Thomas's Leaf Monkey in the Gunung Leuser National Park at Bukit Lawang
Thomas's Leaf Monkey is endemic to Indonesia. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical dry forests. Habitat loss is the main threat to the future of Thomas's Leaf Monkey, however large areas of native forest still survive in northern parts of Sumatra where this species occurs such as the Gunung Leuser National Park.
